The Challenge
The client needed to meet strict effluent quality standards while
increasing membrane recovery and extending membrane lifespan.
Manual monitoring and adjustments couldn’t keep up with the high
variability of influent conditions, membrane health, and
production-driven changes making consistent optimization
difficult. Improving performance, reducing OPEX, and protecting
membrane life required an AI solution capable of processing
hundreds of parameters in real time. At the same time,
cybersecurity demands called for a fully on-premise deployment.
The Solution
Perform module was deployed on-premise, ensuring data security
while providing real-time analysis and recommendations for optimal
operation. Perform module continuously monitors multiple
parameters, and utilizes reinforcement learning to suggest optimal
setpoints to enhance system efficiency. In addition, the Perform
module includes an anomaly detection feature to identify deviations
in performance trends, alerting operators to potential issues before
they escalate.
Ensuring continuous improvement, Turing’s data science team visits
the site weekly to refine the Perform module. This hands-on
approach guarantees that the system remains highly effective and
customized to the client’s specific needs.
